Since we released the pheasants last fall our coop has been empty, well, we couldn't have an empty building so we now have 50 Buff Orpington chicks that should be providing us with eggs within a couple months.

They were moved out of the house and out to their coop with heat lamps to finish growing their feathers so they can go outside into the covered chicken run.

A more recent picture (9/1/2014), chickens are now two and a half months old and weight approximately 3.5-4 pounds each already.  They should start laying at 26 weeks old.
